Starchy craving? Try this delicious Raw Apple Cinnamon “Oatmeal”
1/2 Cup Raisins
1/4 Cup Whole Pecans or Walnuts
1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1 or 2 Medjool Dates (optional)
Add a handful of goji berries for an extra boost of antioxidants!
Place the raisins, pecans or walnuts, cinnamon, and dates
in a food processor. Also add in 1 or 2 dates if you have a sweet tooth or want some extra calories. Pulse chop the ingredients for about 10 pulses or until they are evenly mixed. Then add in the large apple chunks and banana. Pulse chop them until the apple chunks are slightly smaller and the other ingredients are evenly mixed throughout the apple.
No Food Processor?
If you don’t have a food processor, chop bananas and apples into small itty bitty pieces and mix with the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl.
Feel free to play with this recipe and add other ingredients like almond or cashew butter, sunflower seeds or chia seeds!
