SuperFoods that can Protect You from Fukushima Radiation Poisoning

Since 2011, Tepco (Tokyo Electric Power Company) insisted that the implications of the nuclear disaster were minimal and no cause for alarm – until now. They have recently stated that the leaks are spiraling out of control.

So far we know that 300 tons of radioactive water were released into the Pacific Ocean last month and that radiation leaks are now being recorded at 1800 milliieverts per hour – 18 times higher than the levels originally reported. The Japanese government has stepped in with funding to build an ice wall around the nuclear reactors to prevent groundwater contamination, however this solution is only temporary.

The good news is that you can protect yourself from radiation with the wonderful gift of super foods our Mother Nature has provided.

Superfoods are both a food and a medicine; they have elements of both. And these foods provide a wonderful and natural way of protecting yourself from many ailments such as the biological damages of these nuclear disasters.

Spirulina and Chlorella have been researched and reported to successfully treat radiation sickness and to prevent and protect against Radioactive Damage.

Here are the facts on Spirulina:

• The microalgae spirulina was part of a regimen used to treat victims of the catastrophic nuclear accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the former Soviet Union in 1986. Patients diagnosed with radiation sickness experienced “long-lasting remission” from radiation damage as well as reconditioning of cellular functions.* (1)

• Another incredible study found that children with radiation sickness reduced radioactivity levels by 50% in only 20 days with five grams of spirulina administered per day!* (2)

Chlorella Facts:
Similar to spirulina, chlorella is a microalgae that can protect from radiation, as well as heal your body after the damage has occurred.

• One study observed that chlorella produced “a significant radio-protective effect” against both acute and chronic radiation damage. *(3)

• Another study found that chlorella increased survival rates among mice who were irradiated with lethal doses of gamma rays, as well as increased the production of bone marrow and spleen stem cells which are vital to blood health and immunity.* (4)

• The Life Extension Foundation has cited many positive reports about chlorella from Japanese studies conducted after the nuclear catastrophes of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. In a report to the General Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan on early study in animals, Ichimura (1973) reported that chlorella (8 grams daily) increased the elimination of cadmium, threefold in feces and sevenfold in urine. (Cadmium is a toxic metal that can be especially harmful. It enters your body through drinking, eating, inhaling, and skin and eye contact. Once in your body, it causes damage at the cellular level by initiating oxidative stress. This damage can contribute to the development of many diseases and health problems.)

•Other researchers from Japan showed that chlorella helped detoxify uranium and lead.

Where to find quality Chlorella and Spirulina? Personally I’ve been buying from the company Sun Foods for a few months now, and the quality of their foods and products is superb. The company was founded by some of the leading authorities on the raw food and superfood philosophy such as David Wolfe – a brilliant, wisdom-filled being, admirably passionate and dedicated to the tremendous benefits of superfoods. His work is second to none.

Unfortunately the Japanese would have to import the Chlorella from outside of Japan. I am not sure there are adequate growing conditions in Japan for Chlorella and currently it would have been irradiated, anyway. Chlorella is in Vega One which I drink quite frequently. (nutritional shake)
I am making note of the one you take and will check it out. Thanks.

True, but we import a lot of our food too. It’s not the most environmentally-conscious method, but at least these superfoods help alleviate some of the serious health effects this has had on the Japanese, and any Americans on the West Coast are dealing with now.
