Why Weight Loss is Not in a Pill or Extreme Exercise

Obesity and overweight problems are a serious issue in this country. But we need to start looking at the solution as “Gaining Health” not “Losing Weight”.
If we were to look inside the body of someone that is overweight, we will find two major culprits:
1. Lymph & Thyroid issues: due to cooked, high-heated dairy products (with steroids, hormones, pesticides)–concentrated substances that easily clog up the Lymphatic System (the ‘Waste Management’ of your body) and the Thyroid Gland (which regulates metabolism). Herbs and supplements can help, but a low-fat diet, high on fresh fruits and vegetables is the best way to get all the back up cleared out and regenerate the thyroid gland. Taking herbs and supplements, exercising and then continuing to eat foods that clog up and damage the lymph and glandular systems won’t get you anywhere.
2. Overstimulated Adrenal Glands: Too much stress, coffee, refined sugar, alcohol, not enough sleep, too many complex carbohydrates and meat will undoubtedly clog up the adrenal functions. You won’t be able to produce the steroids that affect carbohydrate metabolism, and this simply leads to excess weight accumulated on the body.
Clean, simple, raw foods will help unclog your body’s glands and waste system.
If you’re going to cook, cook with coconut oil. It is the healthiest oil for cooking.
With Hydrogenated oils (trans fats) you can forget about losing weight. These long chained, fatty acids, that are high heated are not going to help you because the body doesn’t know what to do with it, so it stores it. The complex, starchy sugars that the body takes forever to break down are just not appropriate for people who are not extremely physically active all day. And sadly, this is the common diet for most Americans. Here is a list of foods that contain hydrogenated oils.
Weight loss is 70% diet and 30% exercise.
The main suggestion is to incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet. Simple sugars and carbs are the answer. Fiber and nutrient-rich vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds make excellent choices for health and weight loss. A diet of 70% or more consisting raw fruits and vegetables will be a great foundation for your weight loss goals. It’s actually very simple and after many years of trying to shed a few pounds, and then learning how to truly eat clean, I realized it’s 70% diet and 30% exercise. After only 1 month of following a 100% low fat, low protein, high carb diet (in fruits and vegetables), I lost over 10 lbs. All I did in terms of physical activity was jump on rebounder 20 minutes per day and practice yoga a few times per week. These are 10 lbs I had been trying to lose for years with vigorous exercising, with little to no results.
Raw Veganism might not be for everyone, but just increasing these types of foods and replacing the heavy, damaging foods should be the basis of your permanent weight loss plans.
Take care and please share this with someone you know that is trying to lose weight.
