Sweet Red Head Juice

According to the legendary Norman W Walker, the beet & carrot combo is one of the most valuable juices for helping to build up the red corpuscles of the blood and tone up the blood generally. Women, particularly, benefit greatly by drinking at least one pint of the combination of carrot and beet juice daily. For menstrual or menopause disturbances, beet juice has been very helpful.
For this recipe, I used:
• 2 Beets
• 2 Apples
• 5 Large Carrots
• 1 Lemon
• 2 in. piece of Ginger (optional – for a little spice)
• 1 Sweet Potato
Serves 1-2
Sweet potato juice?
Oh yea! Sweet potatoes are one of the greatest sources of beta-carotene of all vegetables, even higher than carrots. In fact, only 112 calories (a small sweet potato) contains 369% of your daily need of vitamin A. They are also plenteous in vitamin C, potassium, calcium, and carbohydrates, and are a good source of fiber. Surprisingly, they are even a rare low-fat source of vitamin E. They are also a good source of antioxidants and phytochemicals. And they make a lot of juice! So it helps, budget-wise, to include it in your juice recipes.
