This is one of my favorite books I’ve found on real nutrition. It’s perfect for those who are seeking to move away from the SAD (Standard American Diet) into a healthier lifestyle, and for experienced raw foodists as well. This is a classic and must read for anyone interested in raw foods. It contains a lifetime of research by Dr. Howell on the necessity of consuming raw foods with enzymes intact.
Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices
I absolutely love this book! It’s a bit older but very informative. Walker is one of my heroes, and in this book he breaks down the facts about each vegetable or fruit. He tells you which juice can help with which ailment. I personally found this book most helpful for juicing. It is a must for all people interested in learning about juicing!
The 80/10/10 Diet
Explains how raw foodists often overeat fat and how to keep an good ratio of carbs, protein and fats in your diet. This is a super clean diet, primarily targeted to athletes, but I wouldn’t recommend this as a long term diet. It is definitely a good start to detox, lose weight and great for athletes during their active days.
