This is a list of foods I normally purchase at the local farmers market, organic food delivery service, or health food stores (when I don’t find it in the local markets). I also buy wholesale every 2-3 weeks directly from the wholesale markets to save a lot of money. Fresh produce is the back bone of your best raw food diet. I don’t buy all of this at once, I like to rotate my foods. For example, I buy 3-4 types of greens at a time and then buy other varieties next time I shop. This is the healthiest way to eat greens. I put a lot of emphasis on greens because they are the most nutritious foods for human consumption.
Whenever possible, buy local and organic. It is important to support your local farmers and eat what is in season in your area, for your health and for the health of your community’s economy. And better yet, start growing some of your own food. Additionally, there are some key ingredients that can be easily ordered online. At the end of this page you’ll find a resource guide in which I share my preferred suppliers.
